The land of Dinosaurs

It is about 2:00 am on Saturday. After working very hard for 5 days, it is time for me to take some rest. I setup an alarm at 8:00 am and layed on the bed. Slowly, I closed my eyes. All of a sudden, things around me started shaking and within no time I can feel the vibrations of my building. I thought it was an earthquake. I ran out of my house in such a hurry that I even forgot to wear my slippers. I can see the people running all over the streets. I am confused with what is going on around me.

I can feel the cool breeze passing through my body. But I felt warmth at my foot. I looked down and realized that it was blood flowing through the streets. I appalled, stayed calm. I saw a person running towards me. One of his hands was cut down and I blood is flowing throughout his body.

I stopped him and asked “what happened to you?”

“Dinosaurs”, he screamed.

“What?” I asked him again as I am confused with his answer.

“The Dinosaurs, they are back to the Earth. They are eating away people and destroying the nature”, he told me in a shivering voice and ran away.

I thought it was a joke, but, how could a half cut hand man can make a joke with me. I stayed calm, in a high state of confusion. In no time, I saw Dinosaurs coming out of streets. i can’t believe , but with no second thought I started running in order to save my life. But, I am late. They surrounded me. I realized that, within few minutes I am going to be their meal.

Suddenly, a light came from the sky and landed in front of me. Slowly, it transformed in to a human. I can see stick in his hand and a tie on his neck. I rubbed my eyes to see the clear picture..

OH MY GOD. I can’t believe this. It is Lord Shiva. It is Trishul not stick in his hand and it is snake on his neck. I fell on my knees and greeted him.

He told me to ask a wish. I felt happy and I thought of asking money, buildings, shares and a car. But, I can see hundreds of Dinosaurs staring at me. Then I decided to ask him a weapon to kill those Dinosaurs. I am about to ask him my wish, but, alarm sound is disturbing me. I wondered how can a person can hear an alarm sound better than the roars of those Dinosaurs . And Lord Shiva disappeared in seconds. Alarm sound is bursting my ears.

I opened my eyes. Yes, it was a dream. I stopped the alarm and took a deep breath. I can hear birds singing at the window.

“Oh my god”, I said these words to myself. After few seconds, my friend called me and asked to meet him at 9:00 am. I got up from my bed and wore my slippers that I forgot in my dream. I patted on my head and said to myself “how did I ran out of the house on a bare foot”

The time is 8:30 and I should meet him at 9:00. I wore the helmet and started the bike. Bike is going at speed of 70 km/ph and suddenly I felt cold breeze passing through my body. Yes, it reminded me of my dream. My heart started beating fast. I looked to my left and right. I saw the buildings of corporate giants like TCS , WIPRO, Mahindra & Mahindra etc passing away.

I stopped my bike by the side of the road and began to think of that cold breeze. Although it is normal, it felt something special to me. Now, even I can feel that Dinosaurs are nearby me. I looked back, Yes, the Dinosaurs. TCS, WIPRO and all these corporate buildings felt like dinosaurs to me . Like dinosaurs eats the mankind, these corporate are eating away the environment, the employment and the farmers. I even saw a mother dinosaur which is of course the head of all of them is standing in between them. Mother dinosaur here is the Globalization.

I know that this is not my dream. But, if god comes in front of me, then , what should I ask him? a gun? a sword?. At first I thought of asking him a sword or a gun to kill the Dinosaurs. But, killing them (corporate) is nothing but killing myself. Even, I work in a globalized world.

Then what should I ask him?????

Yes, I got my answer. I will ask him a “Whip”, which can control all the Dinosaurs.

Yes, I mean globalization is good, but it should have some limits. There are many effects of globalization like global warming, pollution, deforestation, corruption etc… I know that a single person cannot control the globalization but as a human we are responsible to our nature.

My mobile started ringing ,

“Yes Kalyan, I will be there in 5 min” I said and hung up the phone. I saw plastic bottle by the road side, I lifted it up to place it in the dust bin. I saw the label of that bottle.” Go green, place it in trash bins and help us to recycle them”, I have seen these words on the label. Ha-ha, even Dinosaurs are good.
